| Details: | SUMMARY: Correction Action Follow Up DETAILS: Follow up for corrective actions following e.coli positive, site visit and level 2 investigation. System rebuilt lid of old hand-dug well and submitted pictures 9/12. The improvements look much better and the new lid appears to preclude most contaminants and no longer has gaps and openings. System also submitted a well monitoring plan including ongoing manual chlorination and daily chlorine monitoring until further notice. System is adding sodium hypo 2-3 times/week to maintain about 1.5 ppm residual. This is a short-term fix until the well can be rehabilitated or another source utilized or developed. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to maintain chlorine residual through end of season (Sept 30). Research and develop alternate source or rehabilitate existing hand dug well to be reliably sanitary. Will contact USFS and circuit rider OAWU as resources to help improve old well. The new lid is a good improvement along with keeping wellhouse interior clean. | ||
