| Details: | SUMMARY: Water Quality Alert: Coliform DETAILS: Jeff called requesting advice after his lab informed him of TC + result. He offered that the pipeline between the well and treatment area had essentially clogged up with iron matter and it had been snaked to allow flow to return. He hypothesized the snaking resulted in the TC + and was considering a shock of the system. I suggested to do nothing more than running some extra water through the system over the weekend and to collect the 3 repeats and the source sample on Monday (10/16). This would likely allow any debris to come out and in the case that a bacterial contamination problem existed, this fact could likely still be identified. ACTION NEEDED: Operator to collect 3 repeat samples and 1 source sample. | ||
