Details: | SUMMARY: Water Quality Notice DETAILS: Mr. Holmberg called, as earlier this week his lab told him he was supposed to collect source samples from 2 wells on his property. A review of the 2008 survey showed one well in use, a dug well formerly in use not in use, and a third well fairly new not plumbed to dwellings for use. He stated those facts remained the same and also said piping from the dug well was broken off from the system and he had no intent to use it. After looking at the online data base I offered to ask for well AB to be shown as no longer in use. He also wanted to verify the number of samples required for next month following the presence of TC found on 10/18/17 and then no TC found in repeat samples earlier this week. I told him that I had noticed that the source sample taken earlier this week did show TC present and asked to make sure that no disinfection was being used. He confirmed "no disinfection." Discussed it was peculiar that the source had TC present, but there was no obvious follow-up required even though there was no disinfection in place prior to distribution. He did say he was continuing to consider providing UV and had obtained information in the last few days about plan review from DWS. I assured him that 3 routine samples were due for the month of November. ACTION NEEDED: 3 routine samples in November. | ||
