Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up to DBP HAA5 OEL exceedance DETAILS: Marshlands November 2017 HAA5, haloacetic acid, sample was 0.0771 mg/L, greater than the 0.060 mg/L MCL. The running annual average is 0.050 mg/L, below the MCL, but the operational evaluation level (OEL) is 0.062, above the 0.060 mg/L limit. Discussed that while no violation requiring public notice or treatment addition/modification at this time, the OEL exceedance still requires a report within 90 days to DWS.Bob indicated hes keeping the chlorine levels lower than usual, 0.5 to 0.6 mg/L at 1st user, continuing with the 12 gpm recirculation system between the plant and the storage tank and flushing out in the distribution system at the end of the line. System has had to be off-line for a few days in November due to high raw water turbidity from recent rain events. Bob referenced lots of fall organic matter in the source watershed. ACTION NEEDED: DWS to send OEL report template to Marshland to review and complete within 90 days. DWS will provide circuit rider resource as well for DBP troubleshooting. | ||
