Details: | SUMMARY: Emergency Assistance DETAILS: Tim Richardson was not present for the scheduled visit. Dan Vaage visited the wellhead/chlorination point with local resident John Jameson. The wellhead and structure appeared to be in acceptable condition. It was noted that the roof to the wellhead was not attached and needs to be secured to prevent unwanted access to the wellhead and equipment. The wellhead is not vented, and this could be a possible contributor to saturated materials (the well boring log notes yellow clay in the upper strata of the well) being sucked into the well via a vacuum. It is recommended that the well be vented to circumvent this possible issue. The reservoir was not inspected and could be a possible contributor to the yellow water issue. A water sample was taken from the backyard spigot of the Jameson residence and yielded the following results: • Cl residual = 0.07ppm• pH = 7.1• TDS = 167• Temperature = 55.4 F ACTION NEEDED: none. |
