Details: SUMMARY: Positive Coliform in Distribution From 3/3 Samples DETAILS: 3 samples were taken in distribution after the previous month of 3/3 total coliform samples (all three were taken in distribution). One out of three distribution samples showed positive for total coliform. ACTION NEEDED: Operator is to take 3 routine samples in distribution: one at the positive site, one upstream from the site and one downstream from the site. Label the samples routine (RT) and specify where the samples were taken (some of the previous samples were not labeled with location).Operator stated that they put a new pump in well and did not shock well after repairs were done. Operator should calculate the correct dosage of chlorine to shock the well. To avoid corrosion to pump, chlorine should be properly added to well head with water dilution prior to adding to well. Make sure all lines in system are properly flushed before attempting to take next set of samples.Await results.
