| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform Positive DETAILS: Earlier this week Jim had asked about starting use of a new well and we had talked about sampling for plan review purposes in case it had not already been done.When asked about the sample showing the presence of total coliform (collected 3/13), Jim said this sample (plus arsenic and nitrate) came from the new well not yet on line. Also noted that the routine sample had already been completed for the present quarter on 2/20/18 making the point of another sample moot. He said he planned on shocking the well with chlorine and then flushing before taking another sample, afterwhich results might prompt consideration for some disinfection. I asked him to mark the lab slip "special" for that upcoming sample and that Id see about calling the 3/13 sample a source sample. I told him to contact Scott Curry, who had started the plan review for the new well, about completing the process to put the new well in-use. Jim also noted that a structure was being built today near the well, presumably to house the well and the associated pressure tank, which was expected as part of Scott Currys conditional approval for the new well. ACTION NEEDED: Contact DWS Scott Curry for instructions on putting new well in service. | ||
