| Details: | SUMMARY: RT Sample Tested Positive for Total Coliform DETAILS: The laboratory contacted the operator at Boice Cope, Mr. Josh Hopkins, reporting that the 3 repeat samples and the triggered sample came back positive for TC, but negative for E. Coli. Right after receiving the call from the lab, Mr. Hopkins checked the chlorinator to see if it was working and noticed the pump was not functioning properly and the hoses were broken. He proceeded to repair the pump and replaced the hoses. I informed the operator about the requirement to conduct a Level 1 investigation and that he would be receiving a copy of the investigation form in the mail. I emailed a copy of the form and provided the DWS link. ACTION NEEDED: Operator was informed that they have 30 days to complete the L1 investigation form and return the form to me. Upon request, a copy of the technical bulletin for well disinfection was also emailed to the operator. | ||
