Details:	Background/Problem Identification: During a recent water system survey by OHA, bypass piping was found that could bypass Depoe Bay’s 1.2 MG reservoir (a large contributor of contact time in their disinfection segment). The city was given the option to either remove the 1.2 MG reservoir bypass, or to re-test (CT Study) the system using just the clearwell and the 1,600’ transmission pipe as a disinfection contact segment (without the reservoir, because of the bypass). Assistance Provided: The circuit rider made a site visit on 05/24/2021 to further assess the system to develop a methodology for a tracer test. During the site visit it became apparent that the best path forward would be to continue utilizing the 1.2 MG reservoir for contact time, and to eliminate the bypass piping. The City is in agreement, and intends to remove the reservoir bypass from the system. Follow-Up Actions Needed: The circuit rider can help further as needed.
