| Details: | Ray called to discuss using their well high in arsenic to maintain water service to residents because flows from the springs continue to decline. He has been working with their engineer to get the older treatment system running again. A recent test post filter shows arsenic at 0.029 mg/L. He is also targeting free chlorine levels around 0.3 mg/L. Once the well is online and blending with spring water, he will collect an combined source sample to monitoring arsenic levels before customers. Ray has arsenic notification information ready to provide to residents if sample results exceed the MCL of 0.01 mg/L. He is waiting for approval from the board to use the well. OWWSA hopes to receive USDA funding for a new arsenic treatment system and install the new system early next year. He will contact DWS and Crook County when the well is serving water. He will increase monitoring of arsenic levels at the pump house where all the sources combine prior to serving residents.
