Details: | I spoke to Tom early in the day regarding the recent routine positive distribution sample. I instructed Tom to have three repeat distribution samples and triggered source sample from each active well. Tom indicated one well was off line and they were having production issues that required a delivery of water from NW Water Hauling in Blodgett. They delivered City of Philomath water. We discussed water hauling guidelines with regards to chlorine residual at delivery. He stated the delivery was tested at 1.0 ppm. We discussed that because its a surface water delivery maintaining a chlorine residual is required. The system is chlorinated. We discussed testing the water at the first user to insure distribution residuals are maintained at or above .2 ppm. I spoke to Tom again in the afternoon and he said the DRC had submitted the samples to ALG in Eugene. I also spoke to Shawn Stevenson regarding this situation. We discussed that if the water system would continue to need hauled water on a regular basis to supplement system demands, that a storage tank with it own chlorination system may be necessary. We discussed that it would added as an additional entry point to the system. I discussed this with Tom also. |
