Details:	DWS staff reached out to the City of Yamhill about an Emergency Water Curtailment. Summary Update as of 8/18/21: The City of Yamhill (00968) is a community water system serving a population of ~1,070 and providing water to 10 wholesale water districts outside of the city in Yamhill County, OR. Turner Creek is the system’s sole water source and has been experiencing low water levels/ drought conditions. On Wednesday, August 4th, 2021, a Level II Water Emergency due to drought conditions was declared. The Level II Water Emergency went into effect on Friday, August 5th, 2021. The City is operating under its Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) for the water crisis and on Monday, August 9th, 2021, the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was activated to monitor and help mitigate. On August 11, 2021 the City implemented a Level III Water Emergency as a proactive measure designed to reduce demand on the City’s water system and the potential for a water shortage based on the forecasted drought conditions. The City is anticipating the need for the Level III Water Emergency to be in effect until next month but have observed decreased usage the last week. They are continuing to monitor and have determined 280 gallons intake would trigger a Level IV Water Emergency while <250 gallon intake would require water supplementation and will discuss shuttling in water in detail at that time if needed.
