| Details: | Talked with Jeff about three sample results this week showing the presence of coliform bacteria. 1. Reviewed that aside from source sample, all others should come from distribution system. 2. Reviewed conscientious efforts to prevent contamination of sample container and lid of container. 3. Reviewed protocol of removing any faucet aerator, allowing 5 minutes of flow from faucet and option to torch the faucet. 4. Consider monitoring pump and pressure tank when camp is vacant. If there is operation it may indicate a leak in the system inviting contamination to water. Jeff indicated he had (1) used chlorine to shock the system since the bad sample result in July and (2) expected an on-site consult with a drilling company from Bandon this next week and (3) planned to collect a sample on Tuesday using extreme care in collection. |
