| Details: | I visited Ochoco West today and looked over the well and the filtration. The well has not been in use since 2010. Due to the springs water output decreasing, they currently are operating off of 3 springs, they re-activated their well (CROO482), to mix with the spring water to lessen the Arsenic levels. A sample taken the week of August 22nd, at the wellhead pump house, after mixing, came back at a level of 0.005 mg/L. They are also adding chlorine. They will do 12 months of testing IF the well is still being used. They hope to be getting a grant to re-vamp the springs, and if the water flow is good, they will discontinue using the well... they hope by Jan. 2022. (so at least 6 months of testing). We will wait until October 2021 to determine the outcome of the grant(s). |
