Details: | Background/Problem Identification: System in need of assistance in combining the “north” system and the “south” system, which at this time are two, separate water systems. Assistance Provided: During the first support effort to combine the water systems, the circuit rider researched the system and the requirements for combining the two systems. The water system needs to contact the Coos County Health Dept. (Rick Hallmark/Pete Cooley) and simply proclaim their desire to combine the two systems. Coos County would then do the remaining work to get the two water systems combined into one water system. The current support addressed follow up discussion around the challenges of simply combining the systems would not remove the testing requirements of both the north and south wells as separate EPs or entry points. The circuit rider confirmed this information with OHA and verified that if the testing requirements for both wells could be merged into one EP if the two wells were plumbed to operate at the same time and blended to a common pipe. The circuit rider spoke at length with the water system operator Kevin about the most cost-effective way to connect both power and hydraulics to the two wells. Kevin felt that bringing power from the north well to the south well and having the south well then pump to the north well house to blend with the north well was likely the most reasonable solution. The operator plans to get cost estimates for this work to present to the MHP owner. Follow-Up Actions Needed: The circuit rider is available as needed for follow-up assistance.
