| Details: | DWS Staff on Phone Duty received an alert stating a sample collected on 9/22/21 at the Willamette Nurseries' (05663) Corner House showed arsenic at 0.036 mg/L which exceeds the arsenic maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 0.010 mg/L and is above the acute level of 0.035 mg/L. DWS Staff left a voicemail with the system letting them know a Do-Not-Drink Public Notice needed to be posted within 24 hours. System contacted DWS Staff person for additional information. To follow-up that conversation, DWS Staff emailed system encouraging them to seek an alternative water sources (i.e bottled water) and consider quarterly arsenic sampling to evaluate seasonal variability/treatment operation. A handout with information on Arsenic in Drinking Water and the Do-Not-Drink Public Notice Template for Acute Arsenic were also provided. DWS Staff provided system contact information for County Partner and sent County Partner a synopsis email of DWS contact with system. |
