Details: | I e-mailed Mike regarding reviewing three issues. Reviewing the Locational Running Annual Average (LRAA) for Trihalomethane which exceeded the MCL in November 2018 and August 2019. The LRAA for quarterly samples summited from June to December 2020 were above .060 ppm. The LRAA dropped to .058 in March 2021, the second quarter of 2021 was not sampled. A sample was submitted in August 2021 and the LRAA is .054. In consultation with DWP Region 2 staff and the DWP DMCE it was determined quarterly sampling should continue until the LRAA is consistently at or below .060 which is the rule requirement to go from a quarterly schedule to an annual schedule. They worked with the circuit rider program to reduce stored water for better turnover and regularly flush the system. I requested consumer confidence for 2019 and 2020 be submitted. The operator supplied the reports and they were sent to DWP compliance for validation. The water system continues to work with Dan Vaage with the circuit rider program to address a copper MCL violation in November 2019. Dan recommended aeration over orthophosphate for corrosion control. Bucket tests were performed with results in Ph being elevated to above 8.0, we need to review system Ph test performed by the operator in 2019- 2020. The system is on a dual track and will likely test out of corrosion control but still needs to declare a treatment method should the have a future MCL violation by 9/30/31. |
