| Details: | David reached out and requested the DWP thoughts on the research they are doing into potentially switching from residual chlorine disinfection to UV disinfection. I requested more info on the hopes for the switch to change the disinfection. Info on how uv disinfection is really effective for source water disinfection but not distribution residual disinfection. I followed up with the information that Deschutes has not has a coliform positive since 2014, and might have a valid stance for turning off chlorine with the same effect with approval. |
