Details: | 09.15.22 - John requested a time extension to conduct the tracer study. He proposed completing the tracer study by December 16, 2022. This will allow the system ample time to develop a simple "Request Proposal", solicit quotes from qualified professionals, formally award the project with approval of the Board of Directors and complete the actual work. I reminded John that free technical assistance is available through the DWS Circuit Rider program. 09.14.22 - An email was sent to John, requesting an update on the status of the tracer study. The due date to complete the tracer study was Oct 15, 2021. 11.05.21 - I emailed John, reminding him to provide a reasonable completion date for the contact time tracer study. 10.14.21 - I clarified to John that modifying the water quality form to reflect 0.5 Log removal will make sense only after the correct contact time is determined via tracer study. John was asked to provide an estimated date of completion for the tracer study. 10.05.21 - I received a letter from John regarding the status of the corrective actions taken to address the significant deficiencies observed during the July 13 water system survey. CT values need to be recalculated: Operator will reconfigure their CT calculation spreadsheet to utilize the 0.5 log inactivation formula. A new tracer study has been budgeted and will be done when the system activates the 3 MGD transmission line bypass to Ocean boulevard. Operator will be contacted to provide additional information regarding the timeline of completion of this project. Treated water hose below the fill line of the coagulant mixing tank: brackets and hardware have been installed to assure the polymer supply mix water hose has an adequate air gap to prevent back siphoning into potable supply. Uncapped pipe next to the level indicator may allow contamination to enter the 10th and F Street Reservoir: The operator has plugged the pipe to prevent contamination from entering the tank. |
