Details: | I spoke to Mr. Miller over the phone and followed up with a e-mail regarding the recent TC+ test results. I wrote the following in an e-mail to Mr. Miller: I need to know if the plan is to shock chlorinate the system? We discussed Well #5 being on-line which is an emergency source. It should be tested for bacteria and nitrate prior to introducing the water into system. All wells serving the system should be tested when a routine sample tests positive for coliform. We discussed the tank farm well is on-line but it was not tested as a triggered source sample. Please have that test submitted even if it will be late. Because the original routine sample was in September three temporary routine distribution samples should be submitted in October. The tests should be submitted after shock chlorination and no chlorine residual remains in the system. I have linked your coliform sampling schedule from the state data base for you to review. https://yourwater.oregon.gov/schedulescoliform.php?pwsno=06011 After speaking to the Region 2 Springfield office Technical Staff I wrote an additional follow e- mail to Mr. Miller I also wrote: I was on the phone with my OHA Drinking Water Services lead Shawn Stevenson from Region 2. He wanted me to remind you that triggered source samples at the wells should always be taken before any well is shock chlorinated. He also reminded me that the requirement for routine distribution sampling in the system will be changed to monthly due to repeated bacterial issues over the last year. |
