| Details: | On 10/12 Brian Hutchins called me and said they have replaced the pump on Well 2, and also took a special sample which showed up as negative for both total coliform and e. coli. A positive total coliform sample result did come up for a routine sample for this water system, however. I called and spoke with Dean Harvey with PGE Trojan Nuclear Plant and told him that a total of four samples are required, one "triggered" source sample at the well, and three "repeat" samples in distribution, including one of the repeat samples taken at the same tap that yielded the positive coliform result. I then forwarded the Coliform Sampling Plan template/instructions as a reference or guide for collecting those samples. Dean also told me that although this positive total coliform sample was labeled as "Well #2", it was actually collected inside the building as a distribution sample, and is not actually a source sample. |
