| Details: | Water Quality Manager at City of the Dalles notified DWS that their supplier of sodium silicofluoride, Cascade Columbia Distributors has cancelled their delivery of the chemical due to lack of product availability. The distributor notified the water system the product might not be available until early December. City of the Dalles will have to suspend fluoride treatment once they run out of their current supply and will begin to fluoride once they can secure a regular supply. On Dec 2nd, the City provided an update that the Wicks WTP ran out of product on Nov 30th. The latest outlook from our supplier is that it may become available again late in December. Until such time as our contract supplier can provide product we will not be fluoridating our system. - M. Byrd |
