| Details: | I spoke with Robert Trotter regarding McNulty Water PUD's two recent Repeat coliform sample results off Morse Rd and Millard Rd. Robert said he plans to shock chlorinate the water line in that region, to about a concentration of 1.0 mg/L. Robert said he will contact all the households on that line and let them know he is about to shock that line in advance. He is coordinating this shock chlorination by hooking up the chlorination system at a vacant home on the line, and then isolating that line, making it a one-way line through the fire hydrant to prevent the chlorination to continue on to the rest of the distribution system. This is done to target that area that seems to have this issue; as the recent repeat positive samples were also at locations near the previous positive coliform sample results took place. Robert then added that after leaving the line shock chlorinated overnight, he plans to flush out the line the next day. And then after the flushing occurs, he plans to let the water sit for 24 hours and then collect some special samples representative of that water line. A Level 2 Coliform Investigation was already conducted at McNulty Water PUD on 11/23/2021. |
