Details: | A complainant called DWS offices. I contacted Sunrise W.A. to better understand the concern. It appears that the homeowner sampled their own water to find out from the lab that the lead was perhaps high. However, no results have been submitted to DWS. Sunrise is reporting to their water board about their now ongoing investigation, as they sample the surrounding area for lead concentrations. (These are not regulatory samples because they do not comply with sampling requirements, e.g., kitchen, or bathroom faucet, etc.) (Contextual Note: Lead and copper sampling is the most complex of regulatory sampling endeavors.) Next Steps: * Sunrise continues their ongoing investigation in the area. * Consider sending an ORELAP certified laboratory's sampler to retrieve a sample from the resident's kitchen faucet with proper sampling technique. Analyze those confirmation results. * Respond from there. |
