| Details: | SUMMARY: Four + Total coliform routines collected 12/14/2005. DETAILS: After receiving an alert for four out of five positive total coliform routine samples collected 12/14/2005, I contacted Matt Johnson, owner. Matt said he continued to do some remodeling after the positive routine and absent repeats collected in November. He was not aware of the need to disinfect the lines after plumbing changes. Thus he believes he re-introduced bacteria into the drinking water system via remodeling. He has shock chlorination procedures and now knows he must disinfect the system prior to putting it back on line. I emailed him the public notice template to oceanbreeze@oregonfast.net. He will email a copy of the completed notice back to me and post the notice in the office. There are no visitors to the motel at this time. Matt will shock chlorinate the system once the plumbing work has been completed and prior to routine sampling in January. He is aware that five routines in January 2006 are required. ACTION NEEDED: Await copy of the public notice and five routines for January 2006. | ||
