Details:	SUMMARY: Positive TC coliform sample on 1/25/06 alert received by Linn Co. on 1/31/06. DETAILS: Tom said he was notified of the positive coliform sample on 1/25/06. The lab took four repeats on 1/27/06. The lab notified Tom on 1/28/06 about a repeat at site 38 that was positive for e. coli and site 49 that was positive for total coliform. Tom did not get the message until 1/30/06. Tom states he did not know the importance of an e. coli positive sample. ACTION NEEDED: Tom stopped by he office and pick up the public notice for e. coli and instructions how to shock chlorinate a well. I told him to hand deliver the notice ASAP and send a copy to DHS-DWP. I also expressed my concern that with the flooding at Oakvilla, there might be something more going on such as broken piping. The lab will take five routines on February 6,2006 at sites 49,38, well 3 and two others of their choice.
