Details:	SUMMARY: Positive total coliform routine and repeat sample in July 2006. DETAILS: I received a alerts for a positive total coliform routine sample collected 7/20/2006 and one out of four positive total coliform repeats collected 7/25/2006. I spoke with Dave Persons today who believes the problem came from a new home connected to the water system a few days prior to the routine sample collection. The repeats show the only repeat positive sample was from the end of the line. Dave added additional chlorine to the storage tank to boost the free chlorine residual from 0.1 mg/L to 0.4 mg/L. He will aim to keep the free chlorine at a minimum of 0.2 mg/L. I mailed public notice materials and a health affects fact sheet to Dave today. He will send me a copy of the completed and posted notice and will collect the required 5 routines in August. In addition, plans for the filtration of this system were submitted to Tom Charbonneau on 6/25/2006. Tom will review the plans asap. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of five routine samples in August and a copy of the public notice.
