Details: SUMMARY: Lead action level exceedance 6/2006 - follow-up meeting with system. DETAILS: In the beginning of July 2006, John Potts was notified by Jim Young that the City of Albany exceeded the lead action level during sampling conducted 6/7-15/2006. The 90th percentile for lead was 0.0221 mg/L and 0.40 mg/L for copper. This was the first round of sampling conducted after the new Albany-Millersburg Joint WTP was put on-line. John discussed follow-up procedures with Jim Young. On 7/12-13, Karen Kelley again discussed procedures with Jim Young and provided public education materials via email and over the phone. On 8/9/2006, Karen met with Jim Young, Jeff Kinney and Mike Wolski with the City. We discussed the results of the preliminary WQP testing and Source testing as well as public education requirements and timelines for compliance. ACTION NEEDED: KK to send letter to the system outlining follow-up requirements in writing. System to move forward with additional WQP testing and public education.
