Details:	SUMMARY: Total Coliform and Blofilm issues DETAILS: Circuit Rider was contacted by the City Engineer of the City of Astoria regarding Total Coliform positives that can be traced with a high level of certainty to the outlet well of the Upper Service Zone Reservoir. Within the past month, water works personnel had also identified an unusual growth of biofilm within the well. The well receives water from the reservoir that has had its chlorine residual exhausted. The well has no light source and due to its relatively large size, low water velocities. These three conditions are conducive to the growth of biofilm. Actions Performed ACTION NEEDED: Provide further assistance on this issue as requested by the City of Astoria.
