| Details: | SUMMARY: Lead and Copper Rule Follow-up DETAILS: I called Randy today to find out if they had collected the second 6-month round of lead/copper samples due by 11/30/2006. Randy faxed me a copy of John Potts letter dated 5/23/2006 to me showing the date he requested the next round of samples was 11/30/2007 (not 2006). After reviewing my copy of the letter (which had 2006 hand written over 2007) and speaking with John Potts about the issue, we determined that the 2007 date was a typo. John believes he noticed this after the letter was mailed and that he contacted Randy to correct the date to 2006 over the phone. Unfortunately, due to this mis-communication, Randy did not have the lead/copper samples collected. Randy agreed to have a set of 20 samples from the same locations as the 4/2006 set collected as soon as possible. Due to the holidays, the sampling may not be completed until the early part of January. ACTION NEEDED: Randy will have the next set of samples collected as soon as possible and will fax the results to my attention as soon as they are available. I will follow-up with evaluation of the results, update the sampling schedule if necessary and hopefully close out the enforcement order. | ||
