Details: SUMMARY: System requested assistance with equipment and operational problems DETAILS: BACKGROUND - ODHS-DWP has requested a CT Study. A study was attenpted using Fluoride. Some difficulties were encountere with residual Fluoride in the system causing the study to be discontinued and rescheduled. The initial plan to use Fluoride was per the request of the City operators. Historically Floride is a good choice for a tracer study due to its demand charactteristics and ability to control dose. Base line prior to beginning the test has been established at 0.06mg l Fluoride.
ACTIONS PERFORMED Began sampling at the designated site to confirm base line and almost immediately experienced an elevated residual without having turned on the Fluoride does. A few plant on plant off scenarios with subsequent sampling routines demonstrated a hydraulic short circuiting producing floating reading. ACTION NEEDED: Until such time as the plant can be taken down for cleaning of the sedimentation basin, scheduled for mid December the CT Study is postponed.
