| Details: | SUMMARY: Received request from CWS for assistance with a new operator taking over a system DETAILS: Norwood PUD owns and operates a public water system serving approximately 90 duplex units. Randy Hecker is the new operator of the system and requested a visit from the Circuit Rider to help him get up to speed operating the system. He was concerned that he was missing documents and was concerned about contaminant testing.After talking to Mr. Hecker on the phone I put together a packet of templates for items such as a coliform sampling plan, emergency response plan, and other items a small system would need. I visited the system site where we conducted a walk-through of the operation. I went through the material I provided with Mr. Hecker and showed him how to use the DWP website to find more information as well as keep abreast of his system information. ACTION NEEDED: I have since followed up with Mr. Hecker to see if he needs further assistance. He has located or completed all of the material that a small system needs to have on hand. He would like a contact of where to purchase NSF certified hypochlorite should the need arise. Other than that he requires no further assistance. | ||
