Details:	SUMMARY: Investigation of surface water use to replace well (arsenic) DETAILS: Contacted by the Marshland Water Association to provide assistance with the associations well. The Marshland Water Association serves approximately 80 persons through a rural water system. The association is located just west of Clatskanie.The associations well has higher than allowable levels of arsenic. The association is currently seeking assistance with options for arsenic treatment. The options explored so far for treatment of the arsenic in the well water are expensive and operator intensive. The purpose of this assistance is to investigate the viability of returning to the use of their spring. The spring was determined to be under the influence of surface water so filtration will be required.Actions performed: investigation of simple and economic surface water treatment solutions for the association. ACTION NEEDED: Complete report on options for surface water treatment.
