Details: SUMMARY: Sample exceeded 90th percentile for lead on 7/18/06 DETAILS: On 01/03/07 I spoke to Todd Highland regarding lead sample collected on 07/18/06 (received on 11/28/06). Todd is the new operator for the water system. I spoke to Todd about the general sampling requirements for the water program and our assistance. I asked about the water sampling procedure use for lead and copper. He will find out who took the sample. I briefly described the requirements to comply with the lead and copper rule if the sample cant be invalidated. I told him that the first step is public education to both the staff and students/parents. This will follow up with a complete plumbing replacement program and installation of corrosion control treatment. We will have a more formal meeting to go over the details once we obtain more information on the sampling procedure used. ACTION NEEDED: Await for more information on what kind of sampling procedure was used.
