Details:	SUMMARY: System referred to circuit rider program for assistance with developing and adopting a cross connection control ordinance with enabling authority DETAILS: This CWS serves the City of Boardman with 786 connections and a population of approximately 3,020. The system is supplied by two ranney wells that tap the Columbia River. There is a third ranney well available for emergency use. All three sources are considered groundwater and receive only disinfection. The state DWP does not have a copy of a cross connection control ordinance on file for this system. I called the city and left a message for Dave Winters, public works director. I told Mr. Winters that the state drinking water program does not have a record of the citys CCC ordinance on file. Requested Mr. Winters check and call me back. Winters called back to confirm that they so have such an ordinance- ordinance #2-2001. He said that enforcement of this ordinance is through the citys code enforcement ordinance. We reviewed the need to submit a copy of the CCC ordinance to the state DWP. Discussed other issues relating to the CCC program. Reminded Winters that the annual summary report is due by March 31st. Also, the system needs to have one of its water staff certified in cross connection control inspection. I emailed Mr. Winters to reinforce this information (see attached). Also, offered additional technical assistance if desired. ACTION NEEDED: The city needs to submit a copy of their cross connection control ordinance with their annual summary report by March 31st.
