Details: SUMMARY: SUMMARY OF 9/10/07 SITE VISIT TO INVESTIGATE WHY NO WATER DETAILS: Monday morning Sept. 10th I received a phone message from Vic Farkas letting me know that some residents did not have water Sunday. He asked me for permission to turn on one or both shallow wells to help temporarily get throught the situation. Since I was already on my way up to BVW to finish do a sanitary survey, I stopped and met with the District 20 Watermaster, Sabrina White, to find out from her if BVW would be given permission to use their shallow emergency wells, and to confirm certain things I had been told about the water rights situation at BVW from the operators and complaintants. Sabrina told me she has given BVW permission to use 15,000 gallons/day max from the Judd Rd well for the duration of this emergency.

After that, I met with Vic Farkas onsite and we reviewed the current situation. Apparently he received complaints about "no water" from the upper northwest part of the park on Sunday, he began by making sure the Orion well was running (it was), then he checked the the two Charles Rd. reservoirs and they were both FULL. Vic drove over to the Judd Rd. reservoir and discovered it was completely EMPTY. Thats why he called me Monday morning because he couldnt get ahold of Sabrina. He did finally talk to Sabrina while I was on my way up to BVW, so he had the Judd Rd well turned it on and so far pumped about 7,000 gallons into the Judd Rd. reservoir. The condition of using the emergency shallow well is that no irrigation (watering of plants) is allowed while that well is being used, so BVW notified all their users of the restriction and some were very unhappy about it, which apparently generated several calls to Patty and Victor as well as one call to me.
