Details:	SUMMARY: Cross Connection Assistance DETAILS: Mr Stahl requested assistance with cross connection information, backflow assemblies and enabling authority. A major water line break occurred that siphoned water from homes into the distribution system. He is concerned that contamination could enter the system if another line break occurs again. According to Mr Stahl the water board is hesitant to have backflow assemblies installed on homes to provide protection. The irrigation system is separate from the potable water system and he does not think there are any interties between the two systems. I provided Mr Stahl with some general information on cross connection and the importance of providing protection. I sent a draft to him of an enabling authority and a questionnaire for the users to fill out and return to the system to help determine what activities are conducted and potential of existing cross connections that may be present. ACTION NEEDED: To be determined by contact from water system.
