| Details: | SUMMARY: Turbidity Sampling/Calibration DETAILS: Contacted by Andrew Albee and requested to provide information regarding turbidity sampling frequency requirements.I sent information saying that continuous monitoring should be employed with a reading logged to SCADA system at least once every 15 minutes. Continuous monitoring can be substituted for 4 hour grab samples monitoring and turbidity equipment accuracy must be validated on a regular basis using DWP approved protocol. Also sent information regarding LT2 and using turbidity for continuous indirect membrane integrity testing with two consecutive 15 minute interval readings above 0.15 NTU triggering a direct integrity test, Andrew then contacted me again to clarify that he was looking for requirements for tubidimeter calibration frequency rather than sampling frequency. I told him to calibrate the equipment every 3 months using approved method or to contact with Hach to have them calibrate every 3 months. ACTION NEEDED: None | ||
