| Details: | SUMMARY: Water Quality Non-Alert response for Sodium in High Deser Estates water system. DETAILS: On October 31, 2007, a water quality alert was received for High Desert Estates water system regarding two Sodium test results-- one was 32.7 at the EP for Well #4 sample point, and the second was 29.8 at the EP for Wells #2, #3, #5. On November 2, 2007, I submitted a sodium fact sheet and cover letter by mail to this water system. ACTION NEEDED: The cover letter advised the operator to inform water consumers with sodium restricted diets that the high sodium content in the water may be a potential health risk. However, it is not necessarily an immediate health risk since Sodium is considered a "secondary pollutant". | ||
