Details: SUMMARY: I discussed plans for treatment with the contact. DETAILS: Jane Kelley is working on treatment design for this system. The USFS has apparently decided to design treatment adequate to meet SWTR. We dicussed basic design and M/R requirements.Apparently the system plans to complete MPA testing after opening the system for the season in 2008. The system had two coliform positive (one E. coli positive) raw water samples in 2007. I told Jane that the system would need to meet 4-log virus removal prior to operating. As per my discussion with Karen Kelley on 10/30/07, they could estimate contact time prior to opening and then do a tracer study using an effluent meter after beginning operation.I also spoke with Jonathan Heyl re this issue, and asked him to ensure that the system met minimum standards for disinfection of groundwater sources prior to opening the system in 2008.
