| Details: | SUMMARY: Missing coliform bacteria sample results for December 2007. DETAILS: Ty called to report a problem with the laboratory resulted in no coliform bacteria sample results reported for the City of Waldport for December 2007. The samples were collected and submitted to the laboratory, but there was a mix-up with the lab staff during the pick-up and the samples were not analyzed. Specifically, the samples were lost until the beginning of January and were therefore beyond the 30 hour time allotment. In addition, this problem was not discovered in time for the City to collect addition routine samples during the month of December. The City will be assessed a violation for not reporting. I encouraged Ty to collect his samples early in January to assure the quality of the water. Ty stated that he was given a letter of apology/explanation by the lab. ACTION NEEDED: Assure routine samples are collected in January 2008. | ||
