Details:	SUMMARY: Complaint follow-up DETAILS: Visited system with Daniel Hough ofJackson Co. Environmental Health in response to complaint of water quality / operations. This tansient system serves a restaurant, store, and RV park. Source is suface water that is treated through Harmsco cartridge filters and disinfected with chlorine. System has not had coliform or SWTR violations, although has had a number of un-confirmed total coliform and E. Coli samples. Site visit showed a strong chlorine residual and a record of multiple sample locations. Owner was instructed to fill out a coliform sampling plan and keep it on site. Also reminded him of 4.0 mg/l as maximum chlorine residual. I was unable to duplicate the turbidity readings they have been reporting, although my turbidimeter is in need of calibration. ACTION NEEDED: Re-visit system after turbidimeter is calibrated and attempt to confirm turbidity readings that are being reported. If necessary, require improved filtration - possible solution is coagulant and pressure sand filtration ahead of cartridges. This was discussed with the owner.
