Details:	SUMMARY: TC+ samples from Middle School DETAILS: Mark Edington with Columbia County (503-396-2073) called to report that two special samples taken Monday (02/04/08) at the middle school were total coliform positive. Since the samples were taken at swivel faucets and may not necessarily reflect a water quality problem, Mark told the principal to flush the lines and not to serve water until Mark could take more samples. I contacted Jeff Burch to let him know about the situation. Since the school had been closed (set to re-open today) he was wondering if it was due to stagant water in the building or possibly from bathrooms on one of the portable units that was brought in after the storm and flooding in December 2007. Jeff said he would contact Mark and then take samples upstream and downstream of the school. Jeff said he would keep me updated. ACTION NEEDED: Mark Edington to take more samples and check chlorine residuals in the school. Jeff Burch to take samples upstream and downstream of school and possibly flush lines and keep DWP aprised of the situation.
