| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform reporting for February 2008 DETAILS: Tim Ellis called to report that there was some kind of problem with the laboratory courier they use when picking up the required five coliform samples for February 2008. The courier somehow missed picking up the samples Tim collected. When the courier finally saw the samples, they were more than 5 days old and could not be submitted to the lab. At this point, it was already March and there was no way to make up the samples missed in February. I returned Tims call and spoke with John Higgins today. I recommended they begin collecting their samples early in the month to make sure new samples can be collected when problems like this happen. John also said he will speak with the lab about how to make sure the courrier does not miss the samples again. I told John he will need to collect March samples asap since we have no data for February. In addition, I told John this will result in a violation and he will need to report it in his 2008 CCR. ACTION NEEDED: Await sample results for March. | ||
