Details: SUMMARY: Diquat detection DETAILS: The September 5th, 2007 SOC sample was reported in mid-November 2007. 0.8 ppb Diquat, a herbicide, was detected. The MCL is 20 ppb.

Herbicides are applied nearby, but the well is more than 500 feet deep. Dick does the sampling and does not think he contaminated it. ACTION NEEDED: Dick is taking a confirmation sample now.
Skylands is on a quarterly schedule until July 2008 for Diquat.

Dennis will review the 1993 re-drilled well report to assure well construction protects against contamination.

Pete will setup a Sanitary Survery with Dick this April, when possible contamination routes should be assessed.

Dick will be more conscious about herbicides applied at or near the well.
