Details: SUMMARY: Long Term II Disinfection ByProduct Rule Assistance DETAILS: System requested circuit rider assistance for preparation of the Standard Monitoring Plan (SMP) for compliance with Stage 2 DBPR. The SMP is due 4/1/08.I met with Mike and Dwaine on 2/14 and briefly reviewed pervious DBP results, chlorine residuals records, distribution map and current sampling sites. The SMP requires the identification of new DBP sample sites based on a combination of records, piping layouts, previously submitted DBP results and calculations. The new sites must them be justified in writing and submitted to the USEPA in the form of a SMP. I created a working distribution map, carefully reviewed chlorine results, Stage 1 DBP results and collection locations and calculated average residence time and average chlorine residual results. I asked Mike to allow me a final review before the plan is sent to the EPA. ACTION NEEDED: Review final report prior to submittal to review and verify sites, as well as the schedule for the sampling to begin in 2009.
