Details: SUMMARY: Update on the Corrosion Control Plan DETAILS: The plan to gradually change the water character (explained in previous CR, and in Septembers Corrosion Control Plan Report), had some recent discouraging results. In their 2nd round of non-compliance sampling, they exceeded the lead action level.

They began gradually, incrementally increasing soda ash dosing after installation of a new soda ash feeder around November.

Current alkalinity concentration is slightly higher than before at 25 mg/L.

Hearsay & conjecture has it that springtime Clackamas River flows have lower alkalinity or some other characteristic than increases corrosion. Perhaps there is some unknown-as-of-yet reason for it. ACTION NEEDED: * Stay the course. Do not change the soda dosing, for now.

* SFWB will write up report on how the plan was implemented since October 2007, including dosing rates and dates, and sampling parameters and dates.

* Dave or Kim will send Pete a finished draft in 2 weeks (Tuesday May 6th)

* We will evaluate the plan and the future course then.
