Details:	SUMMARY: Funding authorized for water system improvement project DETAILS: A $1.6 million project has been authorized. Funding includes a $485,000 grant from USDA Rural Utilities, a $1.0 loan from Safe Drinking Water RLF, and $111,000 from the water district. The project includes 5 miles of distribution main replacement (system has 36 miles total), and a new 500,000 gallon steel reservoir to replace the wood tank. The project engineer is Anderson Engineering in Lakeview, and the project is expected to go to bid in July. The USDA contact person is Pam Swires in Redmond at 541-923-4358x137. Mike Solt in Bend is the OECDD contact. ACTION NEEDED: Engineer to submit plans to Springfield office.
