Details: SUMMARY: Perform CT Tracer Study DETAILS: A new 1.2 MG storage reservoir was put on-line in November 2007. As this vessel has a significant impact on the disinfection time for the water system, Karen Kelley of DWP requested a follow up CT Tracer Study to the previous study in 2003. ACTIONS PERFORMED 1- Reviewed process and disinfection components to create a flow chart. 2- Created and distributed process timeline for Tracer Study to operator personnel. 3- Discussed moving Hyprochlorite feed point and “Process Timeline” with operators. 4 – Prepared template to be used for Study calculations. 5 – Interacted with operators to investigate anomalies of facility flowmeters. Mag-Flowmeter at new reservoir historically does not correlate with Finish (Post C.C. Basin) Flowmeter, and recently, the Finish Flowmeter is reading much lower than other process indicators would seem to indicate. Discuss Mag-Flowmeter specifications and programming parameters with manufacturer representative. ACTION NEEDED: Work with operators to resolve flowmeter issues. Perform CT Tracer Study on 4/8/08 and compile measured data into a report for the City and DWP
