Details: SUMMARY: Alert Response for Arsenic at 12 PPB DETAILS: Called the system and spoke with Marty and Chuck Glanz to discuss the arsenic result of 12 ppb. This is the first routine compliance sample taken since the system began blending water from only wells #5 and #6. Chuck said that after they got the results they collected source samples from these wells to see if the blending plan should be changed. Called the lab (Box R Water) to advise them to report these as "source water" tests, not compliance tests. I told both Marty and Chuck that they must now begin sampling quarterly for arsenic and compliance will be based on the running annual average for arsenic levels. See attached letter. ACTION NEEDED: System must begin quarterly sampling for arsenic.
